A Few Days in Endel = Endel House

A young woman returns to her father's ancestral home determined to end the feud that has split her family. While there, however, she meets a man she is certain tried to kill her in Austria ten days earlier.

When Rose received an invitation from the cousins she had never met to visit the family estate denied to her because of an old quarrel, she gladly accepted, for Rose was a young and very recent widow.

Endel lay in the lonely, mist-shrouded country, and although her cousin Robert and his wife June tried hard to make her welcome, the visit was haunted by a series of almost fatal "accidents"--and by the presence of David, their saturnine paying guest, who looked so much like her dead husband.

Who was David? Was it merely coincidence that he was always around when the inexplicable mishaps occurred? What did David want of Rose? And why, although she was certain he meant to kill her, did she find herself so morbidly attracted to him?
