About This Book
In Pennsylvania, Mike hates dogs with a passion, and his life is ruined when his wife gets the kids a puppy named Rascal. He accepts the critter but imposes some ground rules in order for Rascal to remain the family pet. The ground rules are slowly broken, and it's after Rascal ruins a prized possession, Mike dropped him off in the woods. After his Voodoo neighbor, Louise, who despises Mike, learns how he got rid of Rascal, she concocts a potion to teach him a lesson. A year later, the paws now on the other foot when Mike wakes up as a puppy in a rednecks kennel in Alabama. Mike's able to escape from this redneck kennel and he's on the streets trying to find his way back to Pennsylvania. He soon meets Ginger a homeless dog he realizes he mistreated back in Pennsylvania. Ginger agrees to help Mike return to Pennsylvania to be back with his family. After overcoming numerous obstacles along the way, they finally arrive back in Pennsylvania where they meet Rascal. Ginger and Rascal learn about Mike's plight, and agree to help turn him back into a human. When Mike was accepted back into his family as a dog, he learns that his wife is about to marry another man. He's determined to find a Voodoo potion to turn him back into a human, but it wasn't that easy since Louise moved with her mean dog Boodro. They eventually find Louise's house, and even after Boodro's threat, Mike manages to slip away with potion instructions and ingredients. Even though Louise and Boodro tried to stop Mike, he was turned back to a human in the nick of time.
