The infant, carefully swaddled in a pink blanket, is oblivious to the fact that she's been abandoned in Nora Saunders's woodshed. She's also unconcerned about the blizzard raging outside or the fact that Nora knows nothing about babies.

And a crash course in baby-sitting is a far cry from the quiet Christmas Nora had planned when she rented the isolated cabin from its attractive owner, Sheriff Daniel Langford.
