A Carpenter's Wish

1893 Vermont, Peter Merlin is a young carpenter who has used his witchcraft to his advantage in his woodwork. For as long as he can remember, he has loved his childhood friend, Emily Tressel. However, he has become nearly entirely reclusive whenever she comes around, fearing persecution and death at the hands of the superstitious townsfolk should his family's secret ever be revealed. When Emily is sent to live in a city, he follows her and must decide what's worth risking everything for.
