A Bitter Judgement

The death of her reclusive great uncle was a catalyst for Dr. Leah Craig. Visiting his farm which she had inherited, she met the neighbor Dr. Hugh Kendall, and was astounded to hear herself called a cold-hearted gold-digger! Nevertheless, she willingly helped out in a local emergency, and so enjoyed the hands-on medicine that when Hugh offered her a job she gave up radiology to take it. For the moment she could ignore Hugh's personal opinion of her, for he didn't know her family background. Then she discovered how much Hugh's own background had influenced him and she began to seriously wonder if she would ever manage to change his mind!
