A Badge for Redemption

In Redemption, nothing is ever quite as it seems. Even those wearing a badge walk a thin line between what is legal and what should send a man away for a long time. When Sam Miller left Redemption, he learned the hard way he never held Charlotte Charlie Denton's heart, even if she held his. He's returned, and for Redemption, that's not good news. Sam is determined to take on the duties of sheriff, Charlie's protests notwithstanding. He just has to determine how Vanessa Larrison fits into Charlie's plans for Redemption. Vanessa Larrison knows of the bad blood between Sam and Charlie. Desperate to escape Charlie's velvet-encased iron fist, she tries to flee but is dragged back. Offered another chance, all Vanessa has to do is destroy Sam. If she succeeds, her little sister and she go free. If she fails, it will seal not only her fate, but her little sister's as well. When she finds herself falling for Sam, Vanessa makes one last gamble. Redemption is no place for revenge, usually.
