2025, part one, Kharkov Ukraine

Part one of the 2025 series .Across the World the weather was changing becoming more extreme. Rod from Bristol England had not been the only oneexpecting it. He'd recently bought a farm within the foot hills of the Sierra Nevadas in Spain. Now all he had to do was to collect his girlfriend and take her there. That proved to be easier said than done, she lived in Kharvov Ukraine!Being a positive and can do kind of a guy he set off in his Land Rover to pick her up, not so easy. The driving conditions were the appalling and almost from the moment of setting off from Bristol, England. Whilst the highways proved to be hard going the cross chanel ferry was even worse and Rod was pleased to drive off of the thing once it reached France. The rain was falling even more heavily in mainland Europe, but he was cofident that his relatively new Land Rover would cope with whatever Mother Nature threw his way. Whilst it did it at times it was touch and go. The girlfriend that he was yet to meet person to person urged him to take it steady and take his time . It was advice that he took on board. They had arranged to marry within he home city of Kharkov and the fact that he'd not reach Kharkov in time only added to his feelings for her.Did Rod think that he would escape the extemes of weather by moving to southern Spain? No not in the least, but he was confident that it would be a better place to survive the coming storms that he felt sure were heading mankinds way. This series of books covers Rod's road trips both north and south, the dangers he faced, together with the battle against the elements and their fellow man in Spain. At least in Spain he would have support. He and Anastasia would be living with people of a similar mindset, effectively surivalists.
