Lex Payne is a gritty special agent from Equinox Anti-Crime Agency, (EACA). He is on his first assignment to keep a close watch on Sam Jones, a tourist visiting the island. EACA intelligence suspects Sam Jones is a name assumed by John Maxon, an expert assassin who disguises himself to appear as a different person on each job.
